Connecting Community Colleges to WSU : #CCC2WSU

Event Overview

This STEM-focused campus-visit event offers prospective STEM students a great chance to:

  • Talk to WSU academic advisors for who specialize in information for STEM majors.
  • Explore cutting-edge STEM labs.
  • Learn about clubs for STEM students.
  • Discover opportunities and support available through multicultural student resources.
  • Get answers to questions about admission to WSU, courses and prerequisites, transferring credits, academic advising, and more!

What community college and technical school students can expect at this event: You will engage in presentations conducted by current WSU students and academic advisors who will answer your questions. There will also be video tours of active research labs where you can picture yourself exploring topics that interest you in a hands-on manner.

Attending sessions at this event: We will host these meetings on the Zoom video conferencing platform and will send meeting links to you at the email you used to register. If you are already using Zoom, please ensure you have the latest version of the software installed on your computer. If you have not used Zoom before, you will only need to sign up for a free account to be able to attend this event. Please refer to the CCC to WSU Schedule for a full schedule of activities.

Who Are We?

WSU LSAMP is an NSF-sponsored program in the WSU Division of Academic Engagement and Student Achievement in the Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President. LSAMP provides support, resources, and opportunities to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) underrepresented minority students who are on a path to be successful in STEM fields at the university level.

The WSU LSAMP program is a member of PNW (Pacific Northwest) LSAMP, with a goal to create a culture and community of success for STEM majors. Through LSAMP, underrepresented minority students receive mentoring, tutoring, career guidance, professional development, and graduate school preparation. In addition, students have opportunities to create social networks through events and activities facilitated by WSU LSAMP. Connect with us on Facebook.
