In 1954, the Bookie Building was the home for social hubs where generations of Cougs could come together with friends, grab a snack, or shop for textbooks. Over the decades, the building went through two remodels, in 1964 & 1980, for the purpose of expanding to meet growing needs for space dedicated for students. In 2008, the Student Book Corporation moved to Compton Union Building (CUB) and the Bookie Building was left vacant. Fast forward to 2017, the once called Bookie Building underwent a transformation and is now called the Chinook Student Center. A great place to hang out with friends, study, grab a snack, work out  in their gym facility, and much more!
