We, at WSU, are excited that you will be joining us in Pullman, Wash. for the 2022 Pacific Northwest Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation conference (PNW LSAMP) next April. As of fall 2021, we are planning ahead for an in-person conference and have made arrangements with local hotels in expectation of attendees traveling to Pullman.

Hotel Information

WSU LSAMP has reserved a block of rooms for the convenience of our PNW LSAMP Conference guests at two hotels. Both are on the Pullman campus, are priced identically, and are next door to each other. As part of the LSAMP reservation, there will be a complimentary breakfast served at the hotels. Parking at each hotel is also free. If you phone the hotels to reserve your room(s), be sure to mention you are with the PNW LSAMP Conference to access the block of reserved rooms.

Transportation from the Hotels to the Conference Sites

It is a comfortable 1.1 mile walk to the conference locations which will be primarily in the student union known as the CUB (Compton Union Building) and the CUE (Smith Center for Undergraduate Education) building.

If you drive to the conference from the hotels you will have several parking choices that each have easy access to the conference sites. Be sure to check the interactive WSU Pullman Campus Map website, which is always helpful for finding your way around campus. Please note that you will need to pay for parking should you decide to drive to campus.

The best parking locations for the conference will be the Terrell Library parking garage, the Smith Center/CUE parking garage, or the metered parking along Wilson Road. Parking fee rates are listed on the Transportation Services website.

Air Travel to Pullman

Pullman Moscow Regional Airport

Pullman is served by Alaska Airlines/Horizon at the Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport (PUW), which is a small regional airport located just minutes from the hotels and WSU Pullman campus. Transportation from the airport to the hotels should be arranged ahead of time as cab service is limited. Vehicle rentals are also available, but arrangements should be made ahead of time to assure vehicle availability. Hotel shuttles are not currently available (as of fall 2021), but that may change by the time of the conference in spring 2022.

Alternate Airports

The Lewiston Nez Perce County Airport (LWS) in Idaho is about 35 miles south of the WSU Pullman campus and the Spokane International Airport (GEG) in Washington is about 70 miles northwest of campus. Be sure to check which airlines provide service from your city to either Lewiston or Spokane. Both airports feature taxi service and have car/van rentals available.
