SURCA 2022 Applications Open Through Feb. 22

A student points out results on their poster during a SURCA presentation.Washington State University undergraduates can submit abstracts now through Feb. 22 to present posters on March 28 at the annual Showcase for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities (SURCA) 2022.

“SURCA 2022 will give students from every major, campus, and year in college the chance to share the results of their efforts with a mentor that made original intellectual or creative contributions in their field,” said Mary Sánchez Lanier, assistant vice provost. SURCA is overseen by the Office of Undergraduate Research, part of the Division of Academic Engagement and Student Achievement in the provost’s office.

No Record, COVID (NRC) Grade

Final grades have been posted, and we want to remind students that the NRC Grade is available for this Spring 2021 Semester. This will be the last term the NRC Grade will be available.

Timeline to Request NRC Grade: May 14 – June 4, 2021.

Feb. 3–4: STEM students invited to learn about research opportunities

PULLMAN, Wash.—Washington State University students in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields are invited to a research opportunities virtual fair Feb. 3 and 4 from 4–5:15 p.m., said program hosts.

They are the WSU Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participants (LSAMP) and the Team Mentoring Program (TMP).

“We are hosting the event to help students find a research faculty mentor and a project, and to explain possible financial support in the form of research awards,” said WSU LSAMP Director Yadira Paredes.
