WSU LSAMP will participate in the 2023 Pacific Northwest LSAMP Conference held at Portland State University. Additional information about the event and attending it will become available from the WSU LSAMP program.

Bridge Workshop at WSU is an annual multi-day workshop for incoming freshmen and transfer STEM students to bridge their previous education to their college education at Washington State University. We will host these workshops on campus and in-person. There will be presentations conducted by current WSU students and STEM faculty who can also answer attendee questions. There will be an opportunity to tour the LSAMP center as well as the city of Pullman.
 
Our agenda for day 1 includes a pizza dinner and welcome to LSAMP, meeting with our mentors and staff, and taking part in fun challenge course activities.

Take part in honest conversations and learn about skills to make the most of college and succeed. Coffee, tea, and snacks will be served.

Make new friends and work on your team-building skills at this fun activity outdoors. Participation is limited to 12 people, so RSVP to Nora Rye ASAP.

Learn strategies to improve understanding mathematics--and your grades. Led by Charles Moore, professor and chair of the Dept. of Mathematics and Statistics at WSU. Coffee, tea, and snacks will be served.

Join your WSU LSAMP friends for a movie, Loteria game, and possibly tortilla making. Sopa de fideo, fresas con crema, and candy will be served.

Join your WSU LSAMP friends to learn strategies to improve your understanding of chemistry--and your grades.  Led by Paul Buckley, professor of chemistry. Coffee, tea, and snacks will be served.

A mindfulness session focused on self-compassion to improve your well being will be led by Trymaine Gaither, special assistant to the WSU Provost for inclusive excellence. Pizza will be served.
